In October of this year Act to ACT was part of a relief effort to alleviate the suffering caused by Hurricane Maria. Over 1000 families were provided with food, water, and various other items through this combined effort. You can read more about it here. Although the immediate crisis is over, only 65% of the island has power and tens of thousands have already fled due to poor living conditions.

For this reason, Act to ACT in partnership with Halieus International Support is returning to Puerto Rico to aid in the restoration process.

We are sending a team to work and distribute items from a second 53’ shipping container. On January 19th our team will arrive and begin the process of making homes livable again in several communities we have identified. We will be working alongside local residents, churches, and municipalities that have reached out to us. The media has stopped reporting but for those on the island, the situation is still dire. Time is short and we can't do it alone. We need your help!
