A2A believes poverty is rooted in broken relationships. For this reason, A2A takes a relational approach to poverty.  We humbly walk side by side to mentor individuals on how to navigate through and overcome their particular circumstances. A2A works with families experiencing homelessness that are living in shelters, hotels, or couch surfing. These families are presented to us through Seminole County, law enforcement agencies, houses of faith, and other NGOs.

Every situation is different, so we first assess a person(s) needs through a detailed one on one interview to understand the full scope of the situation. Secondly, we assign an advocate based on the assessment, to develop and implement a game plan. Lastly, as our client moves towards self-sufficiency, we walk through the thr1v3 process.

What is thr1v3?

The purpose of the thr1v3 process is to overcome fear, inspire hope, and empower potential in clients by increasing self-awareness and encouraging intentional personal growth using seven core life accounts.

  • Seminole County Community Assistance Division - Rapid Rehousing Program

  • Seminole County Housing Authority - Public Housing Program

  • Rescue Outreach Mission - Emergency Shelter

  • Seminole County Public Schools - Families In Need Program

Act to ACT has also led educational workshops to increase public awareness about human trafficking-an area of risk for children that are experiencing homelessness.  To date, we’ve worked with Seminole County Council PTA (SCCPTA), Westside Community Center, and Journeys Academy.
